Great WeekendWow! We had such a wonderful Sunday. A number of members caught the vision
for for our Angel Food ministry. With the economic downturn so many are on really tight budgets. Angel Food will
provide nutritious food for just a little money. Special thanks to Beverly Clark for spearheading this. Since my son is a Marine I was particularly touched by our communion time. Theodus Clark's detailed meditation
about the changing of the guard at Arlington National Monument was awesome. He powerfully illustrated Jesus' words,
"Do this in remembrance of Me." Our Thanksgiving pitch-in dinner
may have been our best ever. Great food and fellowship. Traditional and international foods were all
so gooooood. The Sky family production: "Fiery faith and Fiddles"
did not disappoint. Powerful dance, music, and message. The daughter and sons did such a fantastic
show with their father. Special thanks to our worship team , Faith Borges and Sally Motsch for jumping in to help it
run so smoothly.
Speaking of son's, Noel and Louella Bernardez'
oldest, Andrew, will help lead a worship conference in Brazil this January. We're all so
proud of him, and want to be a part of this. Sunday, December 7 we will take a special offering
for Andrew to help with his expenses. Dave
