PakistanMy son is currently deployed to Afghanistan,
so I’m invested in that part of the world. The Bible tells me not worry about anything, but I do
have questions. “Will we succeed in Afghanistan? What can be done about the corruption
there? Is the runoff election coming up in a few weeks really possible? Can they have a functioning democracy?
Will my son return home safely?” are questions I cannot shake, and pray about constantly. Particularly
that last question. I’ve
become more aware of the believers living in that region, including Pakistan next door. They surely need our prayers.
May God empower, embolden and use them to effect change in the region. God has used believers like
that from the times of Emperor worship up to now. Pray for Sal..m M. He is in one of the most difficult
ministries I could ever imagine… Church work in Pakistan. Discrimination and persecution against
Christians there is common knowledge. Yet the church is growing. Dr. Sal..m will preach here at SNCC this
Sunday, providing his visa is approved. You won’t want to miss this sermon: “God’s
Invincible Gospel” - the Church perseveres in Pakistan.
