Faith Promise MissionsWe will begin our Faith Promise Missions rally in two weeks.
Though many were hit hard financially over the past twelve months our missions giving
actually exceeded our faith promise. I'm amazed how God worked in the lives of the members here to insure missions were supported. Faith Promise is trusting God to provide
for the global work of His followers; that He will use you in this process. I look forward to our International Potluck Dinner on May 1. We will celebrate what God has done and press
on for the year to come. Make it a point to be there at 6pm. for the glory of the kingdom Dave

After EasterWhat a beautiful Easter Day! We began with a sunrise service at 6 a.m. on Jones Beach with other Long
Island Churches. We celebrated together as the sun rose and the fog lifted. Then we met back at SNCC much later
for a powerful resurrection celebration. The worship team was fantastic in bringing us into the spirit of praise.
Mely and I enjoyed a stroll through the Queens Botanical Garden with friends. This
is an annual Easter afternoon tradition of ours. Mary met the risen Lord in a garden about 2000 years ago. This was
just the beginning of life in the light of the resurrection. She embraced his feet, but Jesus needed to pull away.
He had others to visit that day. And she had news to share. The following days and
weeks were punctuated with unexpected appearances of Christ. I wonder how many times Mary was able to be with the risen
Lord before He ascended into heaven. My guess is: 'not enough.' Yet, after ascending He has made himself available
not just momentarily, but continually to all who seek Him. In these days after Easter may you be filled with the light
of His resurrection. your bro in Christ, Dave
